SERIES: Advent 2020

The Road

Sermon from December 6, 2020

God wants to interrupt our lives with the life of Jesus. During this time of Advent, we want to look at some of these sacred places in his story.

In the passages from Luke and Matthew we examine, we see how God orchestrates not only the personal story of Joseph and Mary, but also the larger cultural story. Each road traveled is there to serve a purpose and to fulfill prophecy.

The road traveled is sacred because it serves as a training ground. Like Joseph and Mary, God ordains these hard roads for our greater good and his glory. And we never walk alone.
