I AM the Gate

 

Sermon from July 19, 2020

Pastor Jeff McKearney continues our series looking at seven statements Jesus makes about himself in the book of John.

Why do people who are looked at as successful in this life feel emptiness? What are they missing? Looking at John 10:1-10, we see Jesus answer this longing and craving beyond our expectations.

We are made to have fellowship with God. Until we find that, we will be lost and dissatisfied. There's no other way but through Jesus.

John 10:1-10

  1. I AM the Gate

    I tell you the truth… I am the gate; whoever enters will be saved. vss 7…9

  2. Abundant Life

    I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. vs 10

What is the abundant life for the Christian?

Three things:

  1. You will be saved

  2. You will be secure

  3. You will be satisfied
